Duluth, MN - The Chevy Revolution Tour wrapped up snowboarding competition at Spirit Mountain ski area on Sunday with newcomer Jude Balsimo (Lakeland, MN) and Lynn Neil (Ogden, UT) winning the slopestyle competition.

The slopestyle course had three different jumps (a 35, 40 and 45) and ended with an "s" rail or a flat down rail.

"Today was an excellent day. The slopestyle course was great. It was challenging and it produced a lot of competition. It really came down to the finals It was really close," said U.S. Snowboarding Program Manager Abbi Nyberg. "Jude is someone I have never even seen compete before and Lynn is typically a boardercross rider, but she thought she'd just come out and hang out at the slopestyle for a little bit, so it was exciting to see those two win."

The slopestyle competition also featured a junior competition, which had its own slopestyle course and featured up-and-coming younger riders.
"It was great to have junior riders there. We had a huge junior turnout-probably the best we've seen at any junior jams here. Kids traveled from all over the place to compete, which is really cool. It's good to see the progression of the sport," Nyberg said.

The Chevy Revolution Tour will move on to Copper Mountain, Colo., for competition Jan. 20-22.

"We're definitely looking forward to Copper. They have a great pipe right in the base area. A lot of the athletes actually live in that area so we get some big crowds coming out to see them. We're also looking forward to a great slopestyle course. It should be really cool. We've had a great start to the tour so far," Nyberg said.
